• Media pundits also claim that jihadists cling to "Al-Qeada's hardline ideology", when what they adhere to is Islam's hardline ideology!

• The word "Bible" comes from the Greek word "biblos", which has its origin in the name of a pagan sun goddess.
• The word "scripture" is a transliteration of the Latin word for "writing". It has no spiritual meaning at all.

• I believe that what Yada was attempting to get across is that, if someone wants to be a homosexual (or believes they were born that way, whatever), then that is their right. It is their choice and that is fine. They cannot be a member of Yah's family, but then neither can one who is a professional thief or a religious cleric.
   
  In the Promised Land, Yahowah was establishing a single place on the earth where His preferred way of living was to be exemplified by the people living there, and therefore He put into effect quick and final measures for removing all that was in opposition to that pure way of life. That effort is no longer ongoing, so those truly harsh measures of dealing with certain acts of misbehavior (adultery, disrespecting the Shabbat, etc.) are no longer necessary or obligatory. I could be wrong about this being what Yada was trying to say, but it is how I understand things personally.

 

• Back to the Ukraine, why what is happening there is a harbinger of what is going to happen in the USA.
